We Endeavour

Our Story

Well, it’s a love story — or rather, many love stories. Mine with the ocean, and my sister’s with the man who would become her husband. For wine lovers, you know that gaining an in-law who is a vintner feels like winning the lottery. Truly, I couldn’t have imagined a better person to love my sister.

At the time, I was crewing, lifeguarding, and doing photography on a boat out of Honolulu. One late autumn afternoon, while my family was visiting, we took the boat out together. We brought tasty family wine, my brother-in-law prepared a beautiful charcuterie board, and we grabbed our sandy snorkel gear for a joy-filled cruise along the coastline. After a dip, with schools of mamo and humuhumu 'ele'ele, we saw a couple turtles and an eagle ray that swam underneath us about 20 feet down, we came back aboard the boat for a refreshing beverage. We broke open my sister's wine-du-jour and enjoyed good conversation. The light was golden, the sea was vibrant, and everything felt exactly as it should.

It couldn’t have been more perfect.

By creating nautical wine tours I have been able to recreate that same moment for others — to share the beauty and joy of what I have been so blessed to experience myself.
